Such dialog didn't belong here. The Leica itself is all about compactness. But even more compact cameras like the Contax T3 and the Rollei 35 and a Nikon something with roman numeral dials all took full frame 24x36 film. And a full frame 24x36mm Minox. They were life support systems built around a 35mm cartridge. Half frame could not be found new. It would have been stupid. -- Mark William Rabiner mark at rabinergroup.com > From: Tina Manley <images at comporium.net> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Sat, 31 Jul 2010 15:48:28 -0400 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] Digital point and shoot > > I agree. > > Tina > > On Sat, Jul 31, 2010 at 2:02 PM, Rei Shinozuka <shino at panix.com> wrote: > >> >> i don't think mark is so much a naysayer, as the voice in the wilderness >> who points out that in the digital world today, there's a performance gap >> between system cameras and P&Ss. he attributes much of this to sensor >> size >> differences. i tend to agree with him. >> >> -rei >> >> -- > Tina Manley, ASMP > www.tinamanley.com > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
