Each and every recording tool has a signature which must be understood - aesthetically; whether a pinhole box, sx-70 polaroid, holga, rollei ttl, M9, 5D II, S2, 4/3, or whatever. Each requires that the photographer/artist understands what the device can and will record in terms of color, saturation, tonality, dynamic range, et al; and then use it to achieve the maximum aesthetic potential in synch with the artistic vision. That's what Kyle did (and does consistently); realizing an intentional vision; with whatever tools.
