I don't write firmware obviously and of course my opinion is only that of an amateur user. Let's see then if it is possible and does happen. I'll bet you beer it does not ;-) You cannot simply transplant the M9 firmware into an M8 though. The hardware is different. Quoting Stefan Daniel again there. No fears here over any hacking as I moved to the M9. Only pointing out a possible downside for people loading any unauthorised firmware obviously. Here we would say 'fill your boots' . You can translate that loosely as go right ahead but I may just say 'told you so' if you mess it up! Have fun and prove me wrong by all means.
