Just as a point of historical accuracy, this Pratt & Whitney is a "radial" engine. The rotaries were used in WWI, where the crankshaft was fixed, and the cylinders rotated around the shaft, for cooling. In the case of the rotaries, the prop was attached to the cylinder assembly.
