Practically everyone I remember is on FB. I just read a research report that said that despite the impression of being a kid's thing, the largest Facebook demographic is 35-54 year olds. http://www.istrategylabs.com/2010/01/facebook-demographics-and-statistics-report-2010-145-growth-in-1-year/ Caveat: since the age slices aren't equal, you could make any demographic dominant that you want. But however you slice it, year over year growth in 35-54 demo is 328%, more than double the rate of any younger demo. Furthermore, the 55+ demo y-o-y growth is 923%!! Finally, High School growth is a third of the average growth rate, and College growth has actually fallen over 50% (this is a strange figure that needs explanation.) Alumni growth makes up for all of it: it's a stunning 580%. So if you're an old codger that likes to talk about the old days, look up your school bus friends, little league teammates, high school rivals and old flames, FB is exactly your thing! -rei On 05/28/2010 02:03 PM, Mark Pope wrote: > Indeed. > <luddite mode> > For myself and my wife, Facebook would add no value to our lives.
