As George mentioned there is the RED camera but it cost about $20K whereas a 
5DII is significantly cheaper. There are plenty of impoverished 
videographers just like still photographers. :)

It's all a matter of volume. There are more and more reasonable priced 1080p 
capable video cameras available like the Canon Vixia HFS100. I needed some 
very high quality video clips which the 5DII was good enough. Rental on a 
RED camera was about $1K per day. Rental of 5DII was considerably cheaper.
