This is particularly important for WA lenses. Leica tolerance on this thickness is IIRC less than a 0.001". I would be surprised if these inexpensive items will be to this tolerance, or all the same. I would imagine one would need to measure a dozen or so to be reasonably sure. Registering at 12 noon is also slightly difficult to machine, but since this is an obvious cosmetic fault, they probably pay more attention to it than the bits that are less obvious...
