I had predicted a Tripod with the back LCD ... but use of the VF to frame is pretty un-predicted....a real surprise..... Must think about this combo.....certainly your results are fantastic..... I see no virtue in trying to hand hold this kind of shot unless you like to test your luck, which is all it would be if you got the point of focus you wanted in this circumstance! There is some movement blur (1/40th sec) in some elements that were, well moving ;-) The framing in the finder with the macro adapter is very good and I didn't use the LCD. In any event, this is a crop of course. Rangefinder accuracy is excellent and I had no difficulty with just a magnifier. I'd never rely on the LCD preview for a critical focus check. Remember that the shooting distance is around .5m (20 inches or so) Not a true macro but a good close up.
