My brother and his wife have one, it is their only stove and it takes a lot 
of experience to know what to cook where, since the temperature is basically 
regulated by which oven you use and which shelf...
I would imagine they are extremely non-green, since they have little 
insulation and run 24/7.
It is nice and warm in their kitchen - in Scotland.
They are extremely well made and last for ever.
