It is always better to have filtered water and deionized water for the developer and for the photoflo for any kind of developing, IMO. More consistent results, less problems with spotting, etc... I only use my JOBO (CPP-2) for E6 processing and 4x5 BW (which I rarely shoot anymore). I use hand developing for BW 6x6. I don't shoot 35mm film anymore. So basically the JOBO is used only for E6 now. For my last 2 outings I've just sent the E6 in for processing by a lab; JOBO is a lot of work if you're not retired...
