Another legend: They had heated rear windows too - to prevent you getting frozen fingers when push-starting them in winter :-) Plenty of them still around here in Germany - they can't rust, the chasis and bodywork are mostly wood and plastic and 2-stroke engines last for ever My favourite is the jeep version the NVA (East German Army) used to use.
