I chose Plus-X, Tri-X and TMZ to cover a range of speeds (you can end up shooting at 1/1000 and f16 with Tri-X by mid-morning in most of these places, but I also have some shots by fire/candlilight coming later), to aid in x-ray and heat resistance (experience has shown that Kodak films handle this best) and good latency (Tri-X is kind here, but I needed the range of speeds - it was 3 months before I could get these developed and I knew it would be that long). I use Xtol because I like it best - fine grain, good speed, no weird tonal surprises. I have access to good water so I don't get failures or oddities, although I can relate one amusing story after I've shown all these photos. Had APX 25 still existed, i'd have taken some of that. I find Efke all too often has problems, not caused by me, on my favourite frames. When I wet print these I'll use Oriental Seagull and develop in a glycin print developer.
