Not sure... appliances and that island, no way. It is a shame, but it appears the house was not kept to original plan, and renovation to original costs a fortune, and you have to have the guts to do it....if you can find the right workmen. Maybe progress is important... maybe the owners do not have the cash nor patience to do it right, and live in it as it was intended...... But I do love to see these pictures....... If it were me, I would buy a paver...... just to have bragging rights..... You know that F.L.Wright is the inventor of the cinder block concept? A genius well beyond his own opinion of himself, which was pretty high....... Unfortunately, apparently the roof cannot be repaired and they were stripping off *everything* and being sold off. We went there mainly to see a Frank Lloyd Wright house :-) http://www.5pmlight.com/PICS/Wright/L9995227.jpg We live in an "Eichler," houses built by Joseph Eichler who was very much inspired by Wright. A slant roof is a typical roof line: http://www.5pmlight.com/PICS/Wright/L9995226.jpg Everything is being stripped off. We suspect they may actually will have to tear down the house afterward http://www.5pmlight.com/PICS/Wright/L9995223.jpg Even the pavers are being sold for $1 each http://www.5pmlight.com/PICS/Wright/L9995220.jpg The kitchen counter cost ~$20K but being sold for $2K! The fridge is sold, plus most "good stuff." http://www.5pmlight.com/PICS/Wright/L9995219.jpg -- // richard <http://www.imagecraft.com/> // icc blog: <http://imagecraft.wordpress.com> // photo blog: <http://www.5pmlight.com> [ For technical support on ImageCraft products, please include all previous replies in your msgs. ] _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
