True? You can mount the Leica stock (I'm assuming the one with pistol grip) to the tripod socket on the camera (which I've done on numerous occasions). Depending on how the pin on the pistol grip aligns to the camera you may need to fabricate a plate with a hole for the mounting bolt through and another to accept the alignment pin. I've used the stock with pistol grip on numerous bodies where the pin simply does not interfere with any part of the camera base. For use of the Leica stock on my Canon 100 - 200 I simply drilled a properly positioned hole in the lens's removable collar base to accept the pin on the pistol grip mount.
