That seems to be the case with many digital cameras. There may be a way to speed up the shutter response on the GF-1. I don't know since it's still pretty new to me. Maybe it won't be as long when using Leica lenses. I guess it depends on how much of the delay is due to AF. The "digital CL" is the perfect description of the GF-1 with the 1.7/20mm.
