I started with a IIIa, which had been factory-converted from a III, then went to a IIIf. There really wasn't that big a change, since my IIIa was fitted with a Leitz-N.Y. flash gun, for bulbs only. The IIIf permitted strobe, but I seldom used flash anyway.
