(though my title would have been, "An Early Start") Best, Jim -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net at leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Peter Klein Sent: Sunday, March 28, 2010 3:41 AM To: lug Subject: [Leica] Homage to Jim Shulman Out walking at lunchtime on a rare sunny day, with a G1 and 20/1.7. This "Shulmanesque" scene appeared: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/pklein/album170/P1050371-w.jpg.html Yeah, I just picked up a used G1. The price was right, and I wanted to try live view. I'd heard that the eye-level viewfinder was very eyeglasses-friendly, and it is. The G1 is a very different camera than an M or a DSLR, takes some getting used to. It's no M, but I have to say, this 20/1.7 lens is *very* good. This could be the "take anywhere" digital camera I've been looking for. And I can use my Leica and OM lenses on it! Here are two more shots from the little Korean store where I ate lunch: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/pklein/album170/P1050369-w.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/pklein/album170/P1050368-w.jpg.html --Peter _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
