The American version on the Discovery Channel offered no David Attenborough I'm afraid. It was narrated by Sigourney Weaver. If you follow the link in the original post of the thread you'll get to the Discovery Channel Planet Earth page and you can hear what an actor in a coma sounds like. It was the language that did it to her too.
