Subject: [Leica] Will you put filter infront of your Noctilux

Won't a lens hood of some sort offer more protection in general? I used to
put UV filters on my lenses when I was not using them, as some protection
against fungus, but have stopped since getting a humidity controlled cabinet
to store my equipment.
