When Psion stopped making these devices I carried a Palm then the Palm Treo combined the two. I have an iPhone now which is better than the Treo in some respects worse in others, but on balance I will stick with it. I hardly ever use the phone, but the other functionality is super useful. These things are limited for international travel unfortunately because of the obscene cost of roaming data downloads. I am not sure I would want to carry something as big as this iPad though... My travel computer is a macbook air, which is deservedly popular IMHO, despite being pricy.
