I bought some Nik software - Dfine (noise reduction) and SilverEfexPro (b&w conversions) - as a Christmas present to myself. As you may know, these are LR plug ins but are still external to LR; you send the raw image with LR adjustments to them, you make further adjustments in them, they save the file as a .tif and then return you and it to LR. I discovered that on the trip back to LR the capture date and time were being changed by anywhere from one to 23 hours, which played havoc with my editing sorting scheme (by capture time). Neither Nik nor Adobe could explain this, but it went away with the introduction of LR 2.6. Ah, sweet mysteries of (technical) life. --Bob p.s. I like both of these plugins the more I learn to use them properly. And I expect to have my recent travel photos fully edited, adjusted and up on the web in a coherent fashion by 2015. Where do you all find the time? Or do you just do without sleep altogether? ==On Mon, Jan 18, 2010 at 9:10 AM, Nathan Wajsman <photo at frozenlight.eu> wrote: > That's what it is, Bob, it is the new LR and not the M8 that is causing > this. > > My curiosity is now satisfied. > > Cheers, > Nathan > > Nathan Wajsman > Alicante, Spain > http://www.frozenlight.eu > http://www.greatpix.eu > http://www.nathanfoto.com > > Books: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/search?search=wajsman&x=0&y=0 > PICTURE OF THE WEEK: http://www.fotocycle.dk/paws > Blog: http://www.fotocycle.dk/blog > > > > On Jan 18, 2010, at 2:25 PM, Robert D.
