Now, the domain my personal Web site was on just went away, and with it, my site. The new owners may not be obligated to provide me with Web hosting service. They might do it, but they might not. If they don't, I'll eventually want to put a site back up somewhere else. I no longer need to put all my photos on it--the LUG gallery is great for that, as is flickr for a different audience. But I want to have a select group of my very best photos there, along with audio files of music I've composed, and links or text files to some of my better articles. It wouldn't be a huge site in terms of disk use or bandwidth, but I want my stuff "out there." Would some of you with experience in this kind of thing be willing to give me some advice? Bear in mind that cost is an issue, and I'd rather not host my Web site on a box in my own home. I looked at the packages one can get from RegiStar.com, which might be one way to do things. Others? Thanks in advance for any advice! --Peter (Seattle, WA, USA)
