But that would be a DSLR. After that I'd work on an M9 or by then perhaps it would be called an M9.5b. Perhaps with money I'd make with the use of the full frame DSLR. But before all my income starting going into that accumulating savings pot I'm going to make a quick expenditure to keep me going. A 35mm lens. And its not a Leica lens, I've already got a 35 ASPH Summicron. Its for my Nikon cropped DSLR's I'm using in the interim. And its a brand new lens just out. And as it has a motor in it its an AFS for focusing it will focus on the camrea I have with me every day. A Nikon D40x. Which does not really have a real groundglass in it so when you focus with other than a wide angle its hit or miss wide open. You'd need to stop way down. So it can really be a bit of a frustrating bummer. So this new lens I'll probably have with me every day on my D40x its compact and will focus instantly and noiselessly but mainly it will get the thing in spot on in focus. Unlike when I use my 45mm 2.8 P for pancake made by Cosina but saying Nikon. So I'll be shooting HDB-like with a 50 give or take.... 35 * 1.5 = 52.5 Wide angles are for big babies. Everyone is amazed that EVEN AFTER Nikon went full frame a year back it unleashed a slew of cropped glass. DX format they call it. Not really for the burgeoning pro or serious market. But this glass can be very compact and sharp more so than glass designed for full frame. They have a new compact and lightweight AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 85mm f/3.5G ED VR and a AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G . All for people who love these cheap compact cropped DSLR's I like at least for this so called pre retirement interim. And when I get this 200 dollar AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G I'll NOT be able to use it in 9 months with my new full frame camrea. Which I think I'd get tired of carrying around with me all day every day after a month any way. The things weigh a ton even with the smallest lens on the front of them. And I'll be back to compact cropped in pocket photography again. Much more Barnack like. Its really an odd looking lens this G lens http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Camera-Lenses/2183/AF-S-DX-N IKKOR-35mm-f%252F1.8G.html or http://tinyurl.com/cd3c48 Apparently melted down from recycled Barbie and Ken dolls. But if you see me next month I'll have it on me or I'll be shooting with it. And have some 5x7's to show for it in a 5x7 Moab box. F 1.8 and be there! Mark William Rabiner
