[Leica] IMG: Warm Spot on a Cold Day

Starts with a a New Yorker photo of people through windows in a subway with
Kindles in use. I have to say that I ride the NY subways every day and have
yet to see one single person reading with an electronic book yet.
These people must be models from central casting.
They read real books on the subways. Often sizable ones.
But mainly play with their hand held iPhones and blackberries with 3 inch
screens.
There's no reception. But they make to with games and texting for when the
signal reappears as they climb the steps out.
I think some are also reading War and Peace. It fits right in there.

I'm sure well  see the electro books soon.
Just not yet.

I buy cheap books from Barnes and Noble.  And used books.
They still make small light paperbacks that fit in the back pocket of your
jeans. With a price point of around 5 bucks! Signet classics and so on.
Barnes and noble has their own line of cheap books mainly of course near
classics or classics. Which is what I often like anyway.
Important to me is lightweight.
Paper I think with less clay.
As I have the Barnack approach to reading. Small, light pocketable quality.
If its with me it gets read.
If its at home then it does not do much.
Like a camera at home.
