Does anyone know whether a plain old generic flash like Vivitar 2500 will
work on an M8 or 9 with a simple hot shoe/PC converter?

For 7 K you get a full frame sensor shooting your Leica glass at 18
megapixels. Its not such a bad deal. You're going to see all kinds of
documentaries of all kinds of people using them for top jobs. But on camera
TTL flash maybe not. That's really not the critical issue is it? That's like
one out of a thousand users.
