Subject: [Leica] year end mad dash to spend $$$ or pay taxes on it

I'm not an accountant nor do I play one on tv, but I do believe you
have to actually part with the money (or incur an ironclad debt to
your credit card company) during this calendar year.  Thus you will
need to limit yourself to ordering in stock items I think (but I've
been wrong so many times before).

I do have a Canon G11 and it is great in limited
circumstances.....decent light being one of them.  For fun you might
consider the Canon S90.  Same sensor if I understand correctly but
smaller and more versatile in that it is smaller and therefore more
easy to be with you at all times.  Think iPhone with good image
quality.....I've got one of each and I tend to favor the S90 over the
other two.
