I got an HP DV4 notebook, 5.5 pounds, 4gb ram, and the AMD dual-core Turion for $500. All I wanted was something easy to carry where I could look at my stuff on Breezebrowser, copy cards to the HD and then to the little pocket HD's. It is a lot better than that, but then I want to do my editing back home where I have controlled lighting, calibrated monitor and all that good stuff.
