As you know better than anyone on this list, fearlessness diminishes exponentially as the reasons to fear disappear. Today's race drivers at the top international level, are close to immune from physical harm, Felipe Massa's freak accident being a remarkable anomaly. Imagine what would have been Nelsinho's response thirty years ago to his team manager's suggestion that he deliberately crash his car at a point in a Formula One race to be determined during the race, calculated to make possible his teammate's victory: "what, are you out of your f---ing mind" might have been his censored remark. In your view, will Michael return? if so, where? Sauber, perhaps. perhaps.
