V2 was first produced in chrome  and in subsequently black.

Get a chrome one of you can, it looks much nicer.

Some of the early V2 chrome lenses were actually native screw mount lenses 
with SM to M adapters cemented on using shellac. If you take off the adapter 
you have a very nice lens to use on your IIIg or Canon RF body.

The V 2 lenses had either  scalloped or milled focus rings, the scalloped 
ones being earlier production.

Remember there were also two types of V3, the rare one had 49mm filter 
threads.
