I use Leica-R lenses on my Olympus E-510, with an adapter, and I don't find it to be a problem. I select "aperture preferred", ISO, and focus and compose with the lens wide open. Then, without taking the camera away from my eye, I rotate the aperture ring to around 5.6 to 8, let the auto-exposure sensor do its thing, and press the shutter release. What is difficult about that?
