I get the feeling that possible (and even real) toxicity and risks pale in importance to the issues of quality, perceived quality, nostalgia, and elitism.. in the area of photo darkroom chemistry... possibly this is why people stuck (and stick) with it with such dedication, and so little real epidemiologic data is available... Steve sadly, and I hope not true, but very reminiscient of the causative role of cigarettes in lung cancer...no concern, no proof, until someone actually looked and found the data was more than overwhelming for causation... sdb
