It is a sandwich of Schott glass. It has been on the camera for ~18 months and does not have a single mark on it. My camera is in a half case and the LCD has never been hit on anything. It does get cleaned almost daily (left eyed shooter nose prints). I never noticed any loss of brightness or distortion through this screen. The M9 LCD, although the same size, is new and meant to be brighter than that on the M8 too. I looked again recently and I had trouble locating the same model. I found a similar item on the Bay which is branded GGS. The seller name was goshotcamera. It has four layers including 0.5mm optical glass. 2.5 inch size. Both of these use only a very thin strip of adhesive (~1mm wide) around the periphery. The new one says that it is #M double sided tape. If you look at the shattered cover on the back of one of Tina's camera, I think it must be a different type? Perhaps it sticks to the whole surface? 2009/10/25 Greg Lorenzo <gregj_lorenzo at hotmail.com> > > Can someone recommend a LCD protector for the M9? > > > > I would prefer one that attaches just along the outer edge of the LCD. > > > > TIA. > > > > Greg Lorenzo > > Calgary, Canada > > _________________________________________________________________ > Windows 7: It helps you do more.
