Thanks Larry,

maybe we are thinking of different Canon LTM 135s. Mine is 440g,
which lighter than my Nokton 35.
The 135 LTM I refer to is the black, later version and I always felt
it to be a lightweight, slimline 135.
I guess that the one you refer to is the earlier one and I suppose it
is quite a bit heavier.
I've carried the 35 Nokton, the 50 'cron and the 135 LTM all day a few
times without any
weight problems.

...Still can't get my 580EXII to flash on the M6. I might just have
to wait until weekends and practice in the daylight.

A friend is getting married at a Shinto shrine next year, and he'd
like me to take some photos to complement the
photographer he'll hire. I'll bring a 35 nokton, 50 'cron and a 135
3.5 (Canon LTM). I haven't used the 135 much,
but I'll bring it to use just a few time to get some close-ups. So
before the April wedding, I intend to practice with a few rolls
using the 135. * * * * Usually I'd use an SLR if I wanted to use a long
lens. But I'd prefer
the comfort and lightness of a rangefinder as guest to my friend's
wedding.

Peter,
The Canon 135 LTM lens is a very good one but it is heavy. Basically it
is a nearly solid block of glass in a rugged aluminum mount. If you are
looking for a light weight outfit, a 135 lens on a smaller SLR might be
better. I found that while I can adequately focus the Canon 135 on an
M3, its use becomes marginal on Leicas with smaller viewfinder
magnification. YMMV.
