Anyone who's making any significant income on "stock" will submit hundreds of technically good photographs per week. This involves many hours of photography and post processing, keywording, etc. As with all photography for income it's a very competitive market. It also requires that you're aware of the market and shooting subjects that the largest market segments are looking for. Serious income = serious work.
