I go within India around 3-4 times a year - the best window for photography here is 2 months, February & March, balancing comfortable weather, visibility and good light. April to June is fantastic for sightings, but the light is harsh, and the temperature can easily touch 45C. Kenya does not suffer from a lot of these problems - Masai Mara is an open grassland, it is on a plateau around 5000 ft above sea level so the weather is much cooler throughout the year.
