However, I have also gone through this very same thing last month with a 35ft 2000 lb tree limb through our roof/bedroom/computer room/hail damage. I found the homeowners insurance took care of it quite well with not a penny out of my pocket, a good thing as the damage was well over $25,000. I would turn it in to your insurance company.
