The most adventous eater I know is an English Professor I used to teach with. I asked him once if I he'd ever gotten a dish he couldn't eat, and he told me about the year he and his wife spent in China. He ordered the lunch special in a place. "Goose legs and gravy" it said on the board. They came in a bowl; a pair of webbed feet cut off above the ankles and the water they'd been boiled in. ----- Original Message ---- From: Phil Swango <pswango at att.net> To: LUG <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Monday, September 21, 2009 11:30:40 AM Subject: [Leica] DEAD PIG -- now Korean food HB Arche wrote:>I used to order blind by pointing at things on the menu. There's a Korean place near my house. Not long ago I ate there and ordered something that I knew to be squid, but had no idea how it would be prepared. What the heck, I like squid -- give it a shot. A few minutes later the waitress appeared at my table with a whole squid and a pair of kitchen shears. At least it was dead -- not sure about cooked. I mostly love Korean fare but that one threw me. -- Phil Swango 307 Aliso Dr SE Albuquerque, NM 87108 505-262-4085 _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
