He asked the proprietor if he could show him a camera that would help him take better pictures. He had brought along some of his work, and after the man had looked at the absolutely stunning collection of photographs the boy had, all he could say was "No, but I might have a camera that would make it easier for you to take pictures." Anyone can take a "picture", but even the best of us can only occasionally take a great one. And in the end the camera and the medium we use only make it a little easier. Be happy with the one your with, if it works for you.
