And since someone posted here that the batteries are likely to be renewable well after the original manufactured set is long gone, I think I'll be with my R8's for many, many years. At least until I can move up to the S2. Then I'll look back on the R8's as a bygone era. Yup, in about a year.. and Leica at one time promised an R10, too. Meanwhile I'll try to get all the latent photos that I know are still in the DMR.
