Nonsense.  there are/may be reasons that certain or more could not be added 
to the M8 firmware, but in truth, if space were not available in onboard 
firmware storage, and if you really needed to do it, you could use the 
memory card as program storage


Keep the pressure up on Leica.... it worked with the FF sensor and the 
manual lens selection on the M9
