I see Sonny really loves me. Everyone pisses and moans about the
prices, and only I get singled out!!???!
Really, the price for an M9 is not that bad, if you consider that the
24/1.4 is $6000! Surely you cannot use the M8(.2) without a fast 35
FOV lens, so it's either $2000-$3000 for an M8(.2) + $6000 for the 24
'lux, or $6999.99 for the M9 is just the right price!
Also remember when people shoot film? The muscular Nikon F-3 is what?
$1000? and the M6 was $2500. 2.5X.
So now it's D3 -> M9, and the delta is comparable.

Think of the M9 as the first Canon 1Ds, the new thing, the game changer.
Although I'm not entirely sure what game it changes, but it's a good one.
