Henning I had to Google to see what a Leica Trica was! I do recall now it
got a review in LFI.
I just got a ballhead from Really Right Stuff for the carbon legs I have. It
is truly excellent with the M8. I actually put the QR plate on a spare
grip/baseplate.
The ball head itself is very fine engineering and quality, Where their
system really shines is the QR plates that index perfectly on the camera
base and eliminate any possibility of twisting. It is just perfectly solid.
You need specific plates for different cameras, although the M8 one fits a
number of cameras.
