For my shooting, time isn't an issue. Neither is workflow when I'm only processing and scanning one or two rolls at a time. As it is, I'm getting about ten to fifteen keepers per 36 exposure roll. So I look at the $4000-6000 for an M8 (or $8000 for the possible M9), and think in terms of how else I could spend that money. Thanks--and I have about 250 more images on deck, waiting for the daily posts! Good luck with that, Jim ;-) ;-) I mean the waiting for some other company to produce a 24x36 sensor Rangefinder. On productivity, ownership costs and film processing, quantity etc, everyone has their own sums and obviously your numbers make sense for you. The possibilities and numbers change dramatically with the M8 of course. Keep on shooting and sharing in the quirky Jim universe. They are always enjoyed. 2009/8/11 Jim Shulman <jshul at comcast.net> > If that's the case, I'll wait until Mr. K or some other manufacturer comes > out with a FF M-mount RF camera for half that amount (or less.) > > Jim Shulman > Wynnewood, PA > > Who figures that, at $5 per roll (with processing chemicals), he could > shoot > 1600 rolls of Efke 50/Tri-X/Plus-X for the price of one of the new FF Leica > cameras.
