All images processed in LR, Trim Castle a heavy "lomo" style preset.

Startup and shooting is very quick. I have a normal cheap 2gb SD card in the
E-P1 and there's barely any lag time for shooting RAW+jpeg that I've
noticed. Shutter is quiet. Manual focuse is very easy to use, personally I
think the way you have to use the 14-42 lens is kind of crappy, not well
built, but then again it's kind of a freebie to buy the camera. You have to
unlock the lens and move it into the 14mm position to start using the lens.
Zooming is kind of clunky. But anyway, the Leica lenses are very easy to use
on this camera. The LCD is no Nikon D3 or Canon 5d screen, but useable
enough. Really needs the typical LCD protectors as it's coated screen easily
smears.

Now I can not yet view the RAW images since LR 2 will not read them just yet
so I'm going by small Jpeg's for viewing right now. I notice there is noise
even in the lower ISO so "pushing" the images may not produce desirable
results above 400iso. Maybe this is a normal 4/3 sensor, I don't know as I'm
spoiled by the D3 sensor and I don't really want to compare the two.

I've been using the camera in "A" mode just like I usually use on my D3.
Metering set to center weight(this takes some time to figure out in the
menu). Exposures are pretty much dead on. Typical P&S style, the menu system
takes too long to figure out when you first start using it. Way too many
hidden features that should be visible from the start. I believe when you
manual focus any 4/3 lens it will show focus assist, but not with Leica
lenses or any other full manual lens. Using "A" also will not bring up what
f-stop you are using so just keep in mind what you have the lens set too.
Shutter speeds will show.

I just picked up the new Amateur Photography magazine and the E-P1 is
reviewed in it.

I think my images look pretty good so far and if I did not already have an M
body, this would be a great budget alternative.
