Hi Nathan,

Oh my God I never knew about that! Once again the cruelty of one human to
another. Or one group of humans onto another group! We look at this as one
of those "never forget and it will never happen again" type of situations,
or we like to think that I the way mankind should be.

And where are we today? Damn near the same thing under similar ideology crap
as so many years ago!

I must say, it certainly puts a different twist to my rides on Russian
trains during 1992! :-(

ted

Hi Ted,

No, I was referring to this historical event, one of the lesser-known

war crimes of WW2, and NOT perpetrated by the Nazis for once:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katyn

The film I mention, by Andrzej Wajda (also mentioned towards the end

of Wikipedia write-up), contains some incredible scenes of the Polish

POWs being transported to their place of execution in Russian prison

trains.

Cheers,

Nathan
