I seem to remember having read somewhere that the EP-1 is actually an 
SLR with a "round the corner" mirror system, sort of like the Pen F.

This would be in line with the full-page advertising campaign just 
started here in Germany and showing a PEN-F with the words "Olympus PEN 
- since 1959" - in BW and no further explanation.

Looks like they've been waiting for its 50th anniversary to release the 
EP-1 - I bet it is a very compact DSLR.
