Personally have had very good experiences with the current 50/1.5 Nokton ASPH if that's anything to go by; shot side by side against the 50 lux asph, there's a bit of difference in sharpness wide open, but by f2 it's pretty much even stevens. The rendering actually reminds me of the older pre-asph 50 lux I tried once. Anyway, I have a 50/1.1 reserved in the first batch - my dealer tells me two weeks or so - I'll put it through its paces and post my thoughts and samples here.
