[Leica] a quick hello

Hi Mark,
  I have used Canon wide angle lenses. 16-35 f2.8 and 24 f1.4. They  
are not -bad- but the Leica lenses are quite noticeably better in  
large prints, as are the "Voigtlander" wides.
As you say, many top pros use Canon, particularly in my business. I  
suspect that if your main "weapon" is a 600mm f4 lens, having WA  
lenses in the bag for the body you have chosen makes more sense than  
carrying a different camera!
Interestingly, although Canon users have outnumbered Nikon about 50:1  
for years there has been a drift back to Nikon. (Nikon lost the  
majority in the 80s). I was teasing one of my old friends, a 30 year  
Canon user, who had changed. He said he had too many problems with the  
Mk3 pro Canon bodies, there was a buzz in the photographer's area  
about the Nikon D3, he tried it and was so pleased with the body that  
he changed system completely. He had been a Canon photographer for 30  
years (their long lenses are spectacular I think) even used in their  
publicity.
