Thanks for all the help on this question.

I took delivery on a black M8 demo today. Comes complete with a couple
of scuff marks so I won't be branded as a newbee;^) No box and no free
filters or lens coding.

Still lust for the black paint 8.2, but can't justify paying more than
twice as much. Leaves me room in my work budget for upgrading to CS4.
and some other goodies over the next couple of years.

The 1/8000 shutter speed will be nice with the Noctilux and Nokton.

While a little louder than my M6, I don't find the sound all that
troublesome.

I know I'll have a million questions over the next couple of weeks.
Wish I had assembled M8 tips from the list.

If anyone has helpful hints, or must dos, please share them.

Is there any reason to produce JPEGs to go with the DNG?

Photos soon
