Well, I'm sick with pneumonia and I still had to go out and do some
work today. On the way back I stopped at my photo dealer, and....

The 21 Summilux has arrived. He held the price even though the Canuck
buck has sunk a fair ways since I ordered it, so I managed a 20%
discount.

The lens looks great; everything seems as good as hoped for from my
short time with one at Photokina. Nice feel to everything, with
slightly heavy focussing that I'll try to limber up as soon as
possible. The UV/IR filter had come in a couple of months ago, so I
have that as well.

I'll be shooting on the M8's mostly, but also on the M6.

First indications are that using the aperture only influences dof and
vignetting; other image parameters are for all practical purposes the
same at any f-stop, and it performs essentially identically to the
21/2.8 ASPH at common apertures.
